salinger was right
so last weekend I saw my parents. that was nice, but a little different after not seeing them for 2 months and walking up to them in uniform.
anyway, I finally got back my banjo. I missed her. That's one thing any picker hates going without, it's his banjo. so i've been playin it lately in my free time.
school is going pretty well, but i'm failing math class. it's really hard and i hate math. russian is good, naval science is rediculously easy, i'm a forestry major and i like that, etc.
i'm not in the block for the next HT show. that kinda sucks but it gives me more time to study.
hoorah Hokies! still undefeated. here's to the BC game next week.
yeah, so it's pretty good here. wish I had more time to type up interesting stories and more of the like. one day, you people, one day.

bound to be a dreamer
well well. I'm pretty happy right now. That's probably because i'm sitting on a poofy couch on the torgerson bridge with my laptop open tuned to an irish broadcast and there's a novel on my table- the only thing missing is the coffee. hmmmmm... coffee. that sure would be nice right now. oh well. that's what the cadet corps does to you.
so this weekend is parent's weekend. which is awesome, because I get to see my parents for the first time in like 8 weeks tomorrow. I actually get to leave the cadet corps behind for a day or two. it's not that I don't like the cadet corps, it's just that the freshman routine can be a little frustrating. ok, a WHOLE LOT frustrating.
saturday we march in the pass-in-review for parents days. Of course, highty-tighties are playing. It's a great day to be a highty-tighty! Yay band. But there's nothing like marching in lane stadium in front of 70000 insane, slightly drunk hokies!
so my brother is trying to write a 50000 word novel in the month of november. I'm challenging him, except with a head start (i started yesterday), I figure that's fair due to all of the college stuff. Word count so far: about 3500. Wish me luck!
anyway, yeah. I'm tired. I passed my navy PT test this week, hooah! but homework (ok, my novel) is calling my name.
do good things.

we all stop to watch
"j'attend godot..."
well, I'm trying. I really am, but life's busy.
So today was the homecoming parade here at VA Tech. good times, nothing like marching around with an alto sax for hours on end (well, ok, the parade wasn't very long, but i'm referring to the rediculous practice hours put in). all in all it was fun, and being in the cadet corps, talking to the old guys is always a big treat. Very enjoyable. i love to hear their stories, because trust me, they had it a lot worse than we do now.
um, lessee, yeah I had pass tonight, it was fun. The theater department here at tech set waiting "Waiting for Godot" (correctly called "En Attendant Godot"), which happens to be my favorite piece of writing ever set to the stage. Of course, it was outstanding, the acting was amazing. The set was simple, as appropriate for an absurdist play of the type, and the lighting was very well done for such a small production. The actors were skilled.
After that, I wanted coffee and a cigar, but both coffee and cigar shops were closed. This was terribly dissapointing, so I supplemented it with a visit to the local Greek joint, which was probably not quite as good as coffee and a cigar, but was definately a close second. I love the atmosphere- the Greek food, and all-so-American baseball game, 80's music, pinball machines, and general setting. It's amazing.
Anyway, I've got sleep to get before the HT chapel photos early tomorrow morning, and then a wonderful 5K tomorrow afternoon. Yes, running is fun.
Дo cвидáния!

i like it too
well well. I'm in college now. It's been a while. My life has been weird. I'm a Midshipman in the US Navy. I'm a member of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets and i'm a Highty-Tighty. Look it up, really, it pays off.
I'm a forestry major. I love the woods. I'm single again.
I miss Kentucky.
I'm tired all the time, and there's always somebody on my back.
Maybe this weekend, I'll tell some interesting anecdotes. Trust me, i've plenty.

holy balls.
I have an update! Yay for me!
And yay for everybody else too. everybody.
Well, I suppose I could find something substantial to write, if I had time, or if anyone read this site who cared. I guess I don't really blame them though, because the site apparently hasn't been updated for more than three months.
So I've got lots of homework. Senior year supposed to be easy? Hells no. Cisco cert, French three online, Cal H, poly sci, and such. And to you, bro, yeh, Roy Gene is insane. It's awesome.
I'm running for Senior Class VP. Stuff needs changin'.
Out-

ever I never
Well, I'm here. In about four hours, I'll be a high-school senior. One more year. I've gotta summer ahead of me, and a whole life too.
Sorry for the lack of updates. In the past month and a half, life's been very... say... unusual. And hectic. A definite learning experience.
So this summer, i'll be busy, and all over the US, pretty much. First I go to Jabez (Eastern Ky.) for a Forestry camp. Then I don't go home, but straight to Annapolis, MD for the Naval Academy Summer Seminar. Then, I think I go home for one day, and then out to Lexington to go to Transy University for 3 weeks for Governor's School for the Arts. Then it's to Lynch, KY (FAR east, Harlan Co.) for a Mission trip with the Church. Then immediately to staff at Junior Leader Training camp. Then I'm home for like 3 days, and it's to NOAC (National Order of the Arrow Conference) in Ames, Iowa. Then I'll be back with like two weeks before school starts.
Wow, this'l be awesome.
So this will probably lead to a (even larger) lack of updates. Ah bien.
One day I've got to write a book. About my life. It'd be great.
